Fire Strike 2 demo free spins recipe: 59 bonuses in 10,000 spins, measured
A good recipe tells you more than the ingredients: how long things take, what can go wrong and what the dish should look like when it leaves the oven. The Fire Strike 2 slot demo on Slotester comes with that kind of card attached, because the game runs there for free with no sign-up, served by Pragmatic Play's own demo server in exactly the version the lab measured, and the test numbers are printed on the same page. Here is what those numbers say about the part most players are waiting for, the free spins.
The recipe card
Before tasting anything, read the label. Fire Strike 2 came out in 2021 and keeps its kitchen simple:
- Five reels, three rows and ten fixed paylines, counted from the left.
- A fruit-machine pantry: red, pink and blue sevens, single, double and triple bars, a bell, then cash, chips, cards and dice as the low pays. The wild tops the menu at 200x the stake for five, five red sevens pay 100x, and five dice or cards just 5x.
- Firestrikes, the house spice, can appear on any reel. Six or more anywhere on the screen earn an instant award, starting with the stake back for six and topping out at 5,000x for fifteen; when all fifteen are Firestrike wilds, that is the 25,000x jackpot and the most any round can pay.
- Diamonds are the scatter: three of them, sitting on reels one, three and five at once, pay 2x and serve up twelve free spins.
- No bonus buy and no ante bet, a declared RTP of 96.53%, high volatility and stakes from 0.10 to 250.
How the test was cooked
Slotester Lab cooked a single long batch on 7 September 2026: 10,000 ordinary spins, all at 2.00 demo dollars, played directly against Pragmatic Play's free-play server while the rig wrote down each exchange with it. With no buy button on the menu there were zero purchases, and all 59 free spins rounds in the sample were triggered by the reels themselves. The lab adds further runs of a game over time and the review recalculates its figures, so everything below is the picture from that single run as the page showed it on 8 October 2026.
The bonus video on the review page comes from its own browser session, filmed apart from the 10,000 counted rounds, so what you watch and what was measured never get mixed in the same bowl.
How often the timer rang
Fifty-nine natural triggers in 10,000 spins works out to one feature every 169.5 spins, or 5.9 per thousand rounds, a rate the lab calls bHz. That is a brisk pace for a high-volatility game. Other titles in the same set of lab data kept players waiting a good deal longer between features:
| Game | Volatility | One natural bonus every |
|---|---|---|
| Fire Strike 2 | High | 169 rounds |
| Mustang Gold | Low | 250 rounds |
| Iron Bank | High | 400 rounds |
| Buffalo King Megaways | High | 408 rounds |
| Money Train 2 | High | 526 rounds |
The average hides the rhythm, though. The shortest wait between two Fire Strike 2 features was 4 spins and the longest was 825, so a player can see two bonuses almost back to back and then go nearly five times the average without one. Think of a kitchen timer that sometimes rings twice in a minute and sometimes seems to have been left in a drawer.
Put into kitchen arithmetic, a feature every 169 spins means roughly 169 bets go into the pot for each one, and the average feature gave back 43.4 of them. Everything else the session returned had to come from wins in the base game, which is why the long stretches between bonuses matter just as much as the bonuses.
What came out of the oven
The 59 features paid a mean of 43.4x the stake and a median of 37x, counting the free spins themselves and leaving out the trigger spin. Here is how the portions were plated:
| Feature result | Number of features |
|---|---|
| Under 20x | 14 |
| 20x to 50x | 26 |
| 50x to 100x | 16 |
| 100x or more | 3 |
At the thin end, one feature returned exactly one bet and three returned 2x or less. At the generous end, round 4334 led the tasting with 198.5x, ahead of round 4885 at 165x and round 4146 at 107x, while round 4486 missed the 100x line by a single bet with 99x. Taken together, the free spins delivered 31% of everything the game paid back during the session, close to a third of the whole meal.
The secret ingredient: sticky Firestrikes
Inside the feature the Firestrike pay table drops one step, so five symbols already pay 1x, and each new Firestrike may, at random, stay on the screen until the feature ends. That is the slow simmer of the recipe: the count builds from spin to spin and the payouts climb with it. The two best features show how much hangs on it, because in both the stuck symbols did almost all the work, contributing 184x to round 4334 and 152x to round 4885. In the base game it takes six Firestrikes to earn anything at all; in the feature five are enough, and because the sticky ones carry over, a modest early count can keep growing until the last spin.
Three more scatters during the round add twelve extra spins. That happened three times in 59 features, on rounds 436, 7362 and 7498, and the doubled portions were not the richest ones: those extended rounds came back with 34.5x, 53x and 33x. On average a feature lasted 12.6 spins.
A correction in the margin
Good cooks pencil corrections next to a recipe, and the lab does the same. On 29 September 2026 the review gained a dated note: the total the game reports for its free spins included the Firestrike awards but left out line wins landed during the feature, and the test software had trusted that number, which made 47 of the 59 features look smaller than they really were. Feature winnings are now worked out as the total of the round minus the trigger spin, and the average feature rose accordingly, from 21.83x to 43.4x. Nothing else moved: round wins, the number of triggers and the RTP stayed as they were, and the downloadable spin log still shows the original numbers. It is a small detail that says a lot about the kitchen: the slip was found, explained and dated rather than quietly fixed.
The wait between courses
Between features the base game is lean. Only 18% of spins paid anything, about one in every 5.5, and the longest winless stretch lasted 39 spins, rounds 9572 through 9610. Twenty-eight times the reels went quiet for 20 spins or longer, and five of those silences lasted 30. When a win did land it was usually a proper bite rather than a crumb: the median hit was 1.5x, 86 rounds across the run paid more than 20x, and two base spins with eleven Firestrikes on screen paid 150x each.
The balance curve shows how those quiet stretches add up. Its only real peak, plus 144 bets, came early, courtesy of the 150x screen on round 46. After that it slid gently but steadily and ended the run at its lowest level, minus 1,738 bets. A budget of 50 bets would have been used up by spin 540, 100 bets by spin 606 and 200 bets by spin 1,241. The lab labels it one session at one stake, an example and not a rule.
Free spins frequency across Slotester Lab
If the timing of the feature is what matters most to you, there is a ranking built for exactly that question. Slotester Lab orders every tested slot by the real trigger rate of its free spins in logged sessions, listing the longest wait seen in each run and what the feature paid: https://slotester.com/free-spins-slots/. In the lab's catalog of 125 tests, roughly a quarter of the games triggered more often than Fire Strike 2, and most made players wait longer.
How the whole meal added up
Frequent features did not make it a winning session. The run handed back 82.62% of its stakes against a declared 96.53%; its approximate 95% interval spans 71.8 to 93.5%, so even the top of the band falls short. The lab's reading is that this game keeps much of its return in rare Firestrike screens of twelve or more symbols, and none of them arrived in the sample. In the lab's own sums, each 150x screen was worth about one and a half points of RTP over 10,000 spins, and a lone 500x screen would have been worth five. Free spins every 169 rounds with a median of 37x are a pleasant side dish, but they were never going to carry the declared figure alone.
Serving suggestions and limits
Slots belong to adults only: 18 at the very least, and older in provinces that set the bar higher. On the demo the credits are pretend, which makes it a tasting menu rather than a bill, and nothing on it hints at what a paid session would return. It is also the gentlest place to discover how long a 39-spin dry spell really feels. Treat gambling as paid entertainment, never as a side income. Anyone moving to real money should pick a spending ceiling and a finishing time before the first spin, refuse to win back losses with bigger bets, and lean on the limit-setting and self-exclusion features of regulated sites. Provincial support lines across Canada are free and confidential for anyone who feels it has stopped being fun.
From the test kitchen
As a recipe, Fire Strike 2 is honest about its proportions: frequent free spins, a sticky ingredient that lets a good feature build, and long quiet stretches in between. The 10,000-round test of 7 September 2026 puts those proportions into measured quantities. A simple way to taste-test them yourself in the demo:
- Play a few hundred spins and note how many pass before three scatters first appear.
- Count the Firestrikes after every spin: six pay 1x, ten pay 50x, eleven pay 150x.
- Inside the feature, watch which Firestrikes stick and how the count grows across the twelve spins.
- Compare what you saw with the lab's 169-spin average and its 37x median, remembering that one short session can land anywhere.
Then judge whether that rhythm suits your taste, the way you would with any new dish, before you think about anything else.
