Smokehouse Sandwich Co. – 2nd Location In the Heart of Downtown
Two years ago, I wrote a post on Smokehouse Sandwich Co (read it here) located in a little area in suburban Richmond. The little hipster lunch joint had amazing smoked meat sandwiches and very unique iced drinks like Honey Ginger and Lemon/Strawberry and Mint tea.
Recently I noticed that Smokehouse opened up a second location in downtown Vancouver close to VCC (Vancouver City Center) skytrain station. It’s across from the Art Gallery and is hidden in a really discreet area. Make sure you look on google maps before trying to find this place!
They used to be $7.99 per sandwich but now it’s $9.99. 🙁 Wahhh.
The only sandwich I ever get because it’s just that good is the Samson ($9.99). It is coffee crusted strawberry glazed beef brisket with butter leaf lettuce, red bell peppers, and aioli.
My friends got the Wilber ($9.99) which is cumin spiced pull pork with coleslaw. They all really enjoyed the burger and inhaled it in seconds!
The flavours of this brisket is unreal (think about it…strawberry, coffee, and beef brisket..) and the portion never disappoints. Even though it always looks small when you receive it, trust me, you will be full after. Oh, and also make sure to get one of the iced drinks because it’s AMAZING. My personal favourite is the Ginger one but you really can’t go wrong with either.
